No matter your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success as we deliver innovative solutions to our clients.   POSITION SUMMARY: Levelling the top surface of freshly poured concrete, grout, and similar products on floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, or sidewalks.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Assist in the Levelling the top surface of freshly poured concrete, grout, and similar products on floors, walls, ceilings, foundations, or sidewalks. - Read and interpret measuring tools such as, tape measure, speed square, framing square, etc. in order to perform tasks accurately. - Fully Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates. - Be able to assist in the placement, vibrating, finishing, etc. concrete poured in all applications (walls, slabs, footings, piers, etc.) - Be able to assist rodbusters and carpenter workers. - Using various hand and power tools. - Operating a power vibrator to consolidate concrete. - Have exposure and/or experience and understanding of finishing techniques and what is required to achieve a specified finish. - Assist in Patching and sacking activities as required after form removal. - Assist in positioning molds and forms. - Assist in mixing and pouring concrete. - Directing equipment drivers/trucks. - Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. - Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction. - Support project with other tasks as directed by supervisor. - Work under production schedule pressure - Attain set standards of accuracy. - Ability to work different shifts and overtime as required. - Communicate with Foreman regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any hazards noted. - Be able to perform duties in a safe manner.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: - Minimum of 1-4 years’ experience as a concrete finisher or a similar industrial construction role. - Each employee Must provide Safety Toe Boots. - Each employee is required to provide their own set of appropriate/approved hand tools and personal tools, per the Casey Tool List, needed to preform daily tasks as required. The Company will provide allpower tools and personal safety gear. - Follow all state, company, client, OSHA, and federal guidelines regarding health and safety. - Each employee is to practice and maintain good “House Keeping” by cleaning up their work area and jobsite after each task.     PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   - Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. - May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks. - Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals. - Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions. - This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. - Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.). - Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. - May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights. - Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings. - Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings. - Keep good balance and work at heights. - See well (either naturally or with correction). - Hear well (either naturally or with correction.) - Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.   HOURS: This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.  Schedule is subject to projects requirements.   TRAVEL: Travel required up to 90%.  Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.   BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Supplemental benefits, 401k, Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), Per Diem- per days worked if residence of record is 100 miles or more from the project site.   MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer. POSITION SUMMARY:   The Safety Manager II is responsible for supporting and assisting the Project Manager with the overall administration and management of the Project Specific EH&S program. The Safety Manager II will be responsible for the safety on-boarding for employees, substance abuse screening process, providing first aid and the organization of all safety documentation required by Mastec Industrial and as defined in the prime contract documents. The Safety Manager II will demonstrate skills of an EH&S Technician, with progressively increasing responsibility and authority. The role requires interfacing with all craft employees as well as Mastec supervisors and the client(s), subcontractors, distributors and vendors. The Safety Manager II will typically have 7-15 years of experience on construction projects managing EH&S or a related area. He/she must have demonstrated the ability to manage all aspects of an EH&S program on projects of increasing complexity. Must also have knowledge of MSHA and/or OSHA regulations as well as state specific regulations i.e. CAL/OSHA. Understand hazard recognition, record keeping, injury management and the Drug and Alcohol policies and collection procedures. Should have CPR/First Aid or EMT certification; on-the-job experience in training and safety management. Certification as an OSHA, MSHA, and Medic First Aid Instructor is preferred.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Proven ability to work collaboratively and execute independently, maintain excellent rapport with team members. - Exceptional communication, planning, organization and delegation skills. - Have a basic understanding of project drawings, specifications, technical data, assembly methods, and O&M manuals. - Participate in constructability reviews and task planning. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  - Directly responsible for all personal actions and any personnel, vehicles, or equipment in their care, custody or control. - Responsible for verification of the competency of all assigned personnel. - Ensure all assigned personnel receive appropriate craft and safety training. Perform periodic safety audits for all assigned crews. - Report all personal & vehicle accidents/incidents immediately to supervisors, cooperate and assist in the investigations of same. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - Previous Project Management experience required.  - Experience managing multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams.  - Project Management experience with budgeting, scheduling and planning a plus.  - Ability to coordinate and integrate work across multiple disciplines, complete scheduling and resource planning activities to drive efficient work processes, identify and manage all project risks, and enhance customer communication and satisfaction.  - Demonstrated with strong communications with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate progress, highlight issues and provide recommendations to senior leadership.  - Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.   CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: - Valid driver’s license. - Possess a valid CDL (A) license or be able to attain one. - Will be required to complete OSHA 10 hour course provided by MasTec.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Lifting up to 50 lbs. - Requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, twisting, reaching above shoulder level or working in confined spaces.
