The Tower Technician I will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems.  As a Tower Technician, support will be provided in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures.     Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities - Understands and implements MasTec Network Solutions (MNS) Health Safety and Environmental Policies. (Safety Manual). - Understands and implements Industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS and ANSI) - Climbing towers and ladders at various heights - Erection of various tower types - Off-loading material and inventory - Preparation and cleaning of sites - Installation of new carriers on new build and existing towers - Assists in tower erection using helicopters, cranes and gin poles - Assists in the assembly of monopole, all weld and knock down self-support and guyed towers - Assists in the antenna installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15-foot, VHF, UHF, cellular and FM broadcast antennas - Assists in the transmission line and installation of foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline and elliptical waveguide. - Assists in the installation of all aspects of ell site foundations, grounding and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable. - Other duties as assigned. Education and Training - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Skills and Experience - Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions per prints - Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations. - NWSA certification is a plus - Must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and capable of working up to 12 hours. - Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions Working Conditions - Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary - Must have the ability and be willing to travel extensively, as required for job related functions. - Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors in day-to-day activities to drive successful project outcomes. This position supports the Project Management/Operations team in scheduling, financial analysis, and working directly with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide status updates. Accountable for execution of projects from start to finish including: bidding, procurement, enforcing MasTec Core Safety Principles, management of build and closeout activities. Essential Functions- -  Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery. -  Report and communicate to external customer(s) and internal management each day. - Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements. -  Coordinate with the Project Construction Lead for timing, execution, and closeout of individual projects. - Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team. - Send crews to projects and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. - Assist with bidding projects and billing deliverables. - Ability to approve timesheets, daily logs, unit tabulation, managing change orders, and interpretation of financial metrics on individual projects.  -  Ensure project milestones/schedules are being met and proper revenue recognition is being reported. - Ensure the crew has the correct equipment and materials needed for the project and organize/coordinate logistics to have on-site prior to start date. - Develops, maintains and grows working relationships with Customers, Vendors and Contractors.  - Proven track record of providing deliverables, forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation planning.  -  Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.  Minimum Qualifications- -  A High School Diploma, or equivalent. -  3 years of construction project experience. - Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF writer. - Intermediate experience in schedule management. -  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks. -  Good written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to identify and distinguish colors. -  Ability to read blueprints accurately. - Ability to perform under pressure, communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. -  Safety-oriented mindset and knowledge of OSHA requirements. -  Understand underground excavation methods and best practices.    Preferred Qualifications- ·        A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or a related field of study. ·        5 or more years of construction project experience. ·        Previous supervisory experience. ·        Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. ·        OSHA 10 Certification.   Benefits- Benefits available include Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance, a 401k plan and Employee Stock Purchase plan.  MasTec is a publically traded company MTZ (NYSE).

May be required to oversee rigging operations on assigned crane.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Operate mobile crane and move materials to various locations in a safe and effective manner. - Participate in all lift planning as required. - Inspect, rig, and ensure that rigging applications and/or attachments are configured in accordance with the load chart and manufacturer guidelines, prior to lifting loads. - Properly calculate lifting capacities, deductions, and center of gravities. - Inspect, clean, and perform operator level maintenance on equipment in accordance with Manufactures recommendations and Casey company and project recommendations. - Closely interact with the installation crews for movement of materials and equipment. - Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition. - Follow related safety regulations, OSHA Rules, contract requirements, company policies, and operating procedures. - Complete necessary documentation, reporting, and limited office duties. - Fully Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates. - Work under production schedule pressure. - Attain set standards of accuracy. - Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. - Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction. - Support project with other tasks as directed by supervision. - May be required to assist in activities and help other crews with tasks not related to operating a crane. - Perform other duties as assigned.         KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   - Minimum five (5) years of verifiable experience operating cranes. - Equipment Operator training and certificate from National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO), NCCER, or from an approved 3rd Party certification body. - Each employee Must provide Safety Toe Boots. - Up to Date DOT Physical. - Ability to obtain, through evaluation, the certification to operate project site mobile cranes. - Each employee must provide Safety Toe Boots. - Follow all state, company, client, OSHA, and federal guidelines regarding health and safety. - Each employee is to practice and maintain good “House Keeping” by cleaning up their work area and jobsite after each task. - Knowledge of equipment safety, maintenance, and storage. - Knowledge of manufactures load charts and how to interpret. - Analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work with limited supervision. - Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently in order to understand equipment load charts, prepare written orders, read safety topics, etc. - Additional knowledge and skill requirements may vary by assignment.     PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   - Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. - May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, reach, crouch, crawl, bend, and climb to perform Job tasks. - Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.) - Move in and around confined, cluttered and uneven areas.   - May need to climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds. - May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights. - Must see well (natural or with correction.) - Maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb. - Physically, workers must be able to: Keep good balance and work at heights. - See well (either naturally or with correction). - Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet. - Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. - Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings. - Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.   HOURS: This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.  Schedule is subject to projects requirements.   TRAVEL: Travel required up to 90%.  Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.   BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Supplemental benefits, 401k, Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), Per Diem- per days worked if residence of record is 100 miles or more from the project site.   MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
