We’re MasTec Advanced Technologies and we’re looking for a Area Manager to coordinate and manage a team of field technician supervisors, warehouse managers, training personnel and installation technicians to ensure proper installation and satellite dish service to customers. This role is responsible for support and issue resolution of all installation services, including the daily financial management of such services. You’ll be working with all levels within a fast paced and deadline driven organization. It’s important that you are available to provide after-hours support.   Some essential duties of our Area Managers are to: - Monitor and manage Technician Productivity within the assigned market to ensure compliance with MasTec and Partner policies and procedures. - Monitor and manage non-responders, repeat services calls, multiple rescheduled appointments and past open work orders. - Communicate daily with the Customer Care Manager to ensure proper management of installation and service call calendars. - Communicate daily with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that the proper equipment is available for installation needs. - Manage cost control program as it pertains to Operations including monitoring fuel consumption, overtime management, and cell phone usage. - Work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure compliance with all MasTec vehicle policies and procedures. - Monitor daily technician productivity data and utilize to schedule employees, manage resources, and reward/counsel employees for productivity. - Management and control of On-Time Guarantee (OTG), Office of the President (OOP) issues, Average Daily Time to Complete (ADTC) and Average Daily Time to Resolve (ADTR). - Work closely with Sub-partner principals and supervisors to ensure compliance with all MasTec and Partner policies and procedures. - Assist with coordination of corrective actions. - Coordinate with Operations staff, as needed, during building and weather-related emergencies. - Incorporates principles of teamwork with all organizational levels in the resolution, completion and follow-up of various responsibilities coach and mentor team members of varying levels of experience. - Responsible for supervisory functions on all shifts manage the counseling process by monitoring employee productivity, and other performance markers. - Participate in employee evaluations making recommendations for improvement and implement training initiatives for staff which includes ensuring training for promotional opportunities. - Ensure that employees are receiving the appropriate training required to be successful in their roles. - Ensure all new employees are equipped with the proper tools, nametags, identification, uniforms, shoes and communication devices. Verify all current employees are equipped with the same. - Perform Quality Inspections on a consistent basis and within the guidelines as directed by Service Line Management. Train, and/or up train employees on the standards of installation and service. Bring jobs up to specifications, if needed. - Inspect vehicles on a regular basis. Coordinate arrangements for required maintenance. - Provide continuous training for defensive driving and other safety related issues. - Investigate Motor Vehicle Accidents and/or Personal Injuries and file reports with Risk Management within the time frame directed by Service Line Management. - Submit and resolve all damage claims, to include negotiations with customers, filing reports, submitting check requests, obtaining release forms and submitted payroll deductions for the parties at fault. - Participate in operational meetings in order to promote communication and morale. - Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures as they relate to the daily operation of the business. - Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal and Company payroll policies and procedures. - Responsibilities include ensuring the timely submission of accurate and complete time records including all appropriate signatures and certifications. - Perform other projects and/or tasks as assigned and/or needed. Minimum Salary: $58,500 Midpoint Salary: $73,150 Maximum Salary: $87,800   Qualifications  - Associate Degree/technical school equivalent OR combination of education/experience required. - Minimum of two (2) years experience supervising people. No matter your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success as we deliver innovative solutions to our clients.   POSITION SUMMARY: To install, remove, and/or modify; machinery and equipment pertaining, but not limited to heavy Industrial applications.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Read and interpret measuring tools such as, tape measure, speed square, framing square…etc. in order to perform task accurately. - Fully Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates. - Assist in the act of moving machinery and equipment using; hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. - Assist in the assembling and install various types of equipment and machinery using hand tools and power tools. - Assist in the construction foundations for machinery and equipment using building materials such as, wood cement, and steel. - Assist in motor and equipment alignment using various methods and tools including but not limited to; feeler gauges, squares, rules, micrometers, plum bobs, dial indicators, laser alignment, etc. - Assist in the use of machinery or tools to grind, file, and/or tun machine parts into dimensional specs. - Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. - Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial constructio - Support project with other tasks as directed by supervision. - Communicate with Foreman regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any hazards noted. - Ability to work different shifts and overtime as required. - Work under production schedule pressure. - Attain set standards of accuracy. - Be able to perform duties in a safe manner.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   - Minimum of 1-4 years’ experience as a millwright or a similar industrial construction role. - Each employee must provide Safety Toe Boots - Each employee is required to provide their own set of appropriate/approved hand tools and personal tools, per the Casey Tool List, needed to preform daily tasks as required. The Company will provide all power tools and personal safety gear. - Follow all state, company, client, OSHA, and federal guidelines regarding health and safety. - Each employee is to practice and maintain good “House Keeping” by cleaning up their work area and jobsite after each task.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   - Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions. - May need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks. - Stamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals. - Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions. - This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. - Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.). - Move in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas. - May need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights. - Evaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings. - Visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings. - Keep good balance and work at heights. - See well (either naturally or with correction). - Hear well (either naturally or with correction.) - Coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.   HOURS: This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.  Schedule is subject to projects requirements.   TRAVEL: Travel required up to 90%.  Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record.   BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Supplemental benefits, 401k, Employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), Per Diem- per days worked if residence of record is 100 miles or more from the project site.   MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer. No matter your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success as we deliver innovative solutions to our clients.   POSITION SUMMARY:   Required to install, modify, and repair new and existing pipe systems and equipment.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   - Read and interpret measuring tools such as, tape measure, speed square, framing square etc. in order to perform task accurately. - Fully Understand Plant North and drawing coordinates. - Be able to perform tasks including, but not limited to; thread, bevel, and cut pipe. - Use appropriate hand (i.e. wrap around) and power tools (i.e. grinders) to fit and install all types of pipe and/or similar tubular products; have working knowledge of all types of pipe and piping systems, including butt welded, socket welded, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued and fused joints; - Assist in the following; Install valves, couplings and other fittings; disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe, etc. - Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards. - Closely interact with the installation crews for movement of materials and equipment. - Perform daily safety checks to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition. - Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision. - Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman. - Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction. - Support project with other tasks as directed by supervision. - Communicate with Foreman regarding any problems arising, materials required, or any hazards noted. - Ability to work different shifts and overtime as required. - Work under production schedule pressure. - Attain set standards of accuracy. - Be able to perform duties in a safe manner.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:   - Minimum of 1-4 years’ experience as a pipefitter or a similar industrial construction role. - Each employee must provide Safety Toe Boots - Each employee is required to provide their own set of appropriate/approved hand tools and personal tools, per the Casey Tool List, needed to preform daily tasks as required. The Gas Laborer/Groundman is responsible for preparing and cleaning construction sites by removing debris and possible hazards.
